How We Got Started
Ruiz Construction was founded in 2005 by Miguel Ruiz, a second-generation builder who learned the trade from his father in the early 1990s. What started as a small remodeling operation out of Wilmington, Delaware has grown into a full-service residential construction company trusted by hundreds of families across four states.
From day one, our philosophy has been simple: treat every home like it's our own. That means showing up on time, communicating clearly, using quality materials, and never cutting corners — even when no one's watching.
Today, Ruiz Construction employs a team of skilled tradespeople, project managers, and designers who share that same commitment. We're proud to still be a family business, and we're proud of every project we've put our name on.

Israel Ruiz built this company from the ground up — literally. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in roofing, gutters, and exterior work, he started Ruiz Construction with one goal: deliver honest, high-quality work that homeowners can count on.
Israel personally oversees every project, ensuring the same attention to detail on every job whether it's a single-family home in Delaware or a multi-state commercial property. His reputation is built on showing up, doing the work right, and standing behind it.
